Privacy policy

Click Parlor Games (clickparlorgames.com) is a collection of free browser games. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site and its games handle and why. The short version: we don't sell anything about you, games work without an account, and an account is just your email address plus any progress you choose to save to it.
The home page
The Click Parlor Games home page and this policy don't ask for any information and don't set cookies of their own.
Your Click Parlor account (optional)
You never need an account to play. If you sign in, to unlock the Click Parlor Pass or to save your progress to the cloud, we store:
- Your email address, used only to sign you in and to link your purchase. We don't send marketing email.
- Your saved games: for Haunted Landlord, the same save data your browser keeps (your Idle and Simulator progress, Codex progress and theme), so it follows you to other devices. We also keep the version before your latest save for a while, so a mistake can be undone.
- Your Click Parlor Pass purchase, as a record that your account bought it: the payment reference, amount, and date. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
- Sign-in codes and sessions, stored only as scrambled (hashed) values. Codes expire after 10 minutes. One essential cookie keeps you signed in and can't be read by scripts or used for tracking.
Your account data is stored in Cloudflare's database service. Deleting your account: sign in, click your account button (for example "Click Parlor Pass" or "Sign in" at the top or bottom of a game page), and choose Delete my account and saved games. Your account, saved games, and Pass record are deleted immediately. Anything stored only in your own browser is not touched.
Haunted Landlord
Haunted Landlord works fully without an account. Your progress, settings (sound, theme, calm mode), and any house or friend codes you create are stored in your own browser's storage on your own device. If you sign in, that same save data is also copied to your account (see above). If you don't, nothing is sent to us. If you clear your browser data without signing in, that progress is gone, so use the game's export option to keep a backup.
If you turn on notifications in the game's settings, your browser asks for permission first, and notifications only appear while the game is open in a tab or window. You can turn them off at any time in the game or in your browser. The game's share card is drawn on your device and is only shared if you choose to copy or save it.
The game uses a service worker, a small file that lets your browser keep the game's own files so it loads faster and works offline. It stores only the game's files.
Night Shift Detective
Night Shift Detective, at clickparlorgames.com/detective/, has optional accounts, cloud saves, daily-case results, a feedback form, and paid features, so it handles more information. It has its own privacy policy, which covers what it collects and how to delete your account. That policy applies to everything you do in that game.
Hosting and technical information
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Advertising
The site currently shows no ads. If that changes, we'll update this policy first, and we'll ask for your consent where the law requires it before any advertising cookies or similar technologies are used. We'll also list the advertising companies involved.
Children
The home page and Haunted Landlord are suitable for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Night Shift Detective depicts violent crime and is intended for players 16 and older; see its policy and terms.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete information about you, and to object to how it's used. You can delete your account and saved games yourself at any time (see above), and anything stored only on your own device by clearing your browser data for this site. For anything else, or for questions about this policy, email contact@clickparlorgames.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top.
